The Intertextuality in the New Testament Section of the Society of Biblical LIterature (for whom I serve as co-chair and steering committee member) is excited to announce four sessions at the first ever virtual meeting 2020 held during Nov 29 through Dec 10. Two plenary sessions were planned jointly with Intertextuality and the Hebrew Bible Section on the theme of Human Violence in the Hebrew Bible, Early Jewish Writings, and the New Testament.

These sessions feature invited papers and respondents from Vincent Wimbush, Loren Struckenbruck, John Dominic Crossan, Susanne Scholz, Eric Siebert, Melanie Johnson-DeBaufre, Brad Kelle, Tracy Lemos and Cynthia Westfall. We also have two open sessions on Intertextuality in the Epistles and Gospels from established and rising scholars in the guild.
